Overcoming pancreatitis caused by gallstones

The past week has been a crazy bump in the road of life. For the past few years, I have been randomly suffering gallbladder attacks due to gallstones. I have been treating the symptoms and postponing the inevitable removal of my gallbladder. Waking up last Monday to pains so excruciating I ended up travelling to the hospital this time via ambulance.
This time the pains were due pancreatitis. Thanks to a gallstone making its way to the pancreas. My situation became serious, You can live a normal life without a gallbladder but stuff up your pancreas you are stuffing up your life.
I spent the week in the hospital waiting for the pancreas inflammation to subside and have the gallbladder out.
Thanks to keyhole surgery my recovery has been pretty quick and even with the slight pain and discomfort, life will be back to normal before I know it.
I am fortunate to have such a loving and caring wife; I thank God for blessing me with her. The love and support from Rafca made it all easy. Having Anton around brought continual joy and happiness to my heart. My Family are a significant reminder to as to why better days are always ahead.
The key reminders I can take from this ordeal is never to take anything for granted. Never postpone anything for another day when it can be dealt with now. We have one body, respect, treat it as your temple is not something we should just say but live and grow.
People who you matter too, are the ones closest to heart.
Thank God every day for all his blessings and the strength he gives us to make it through each day.
